Oh yes, Shelby’s favorite thing after building/racing cars was makin’ chili. He was kinda a big deal in the chili community.

I’m not gonna lie... I’ve bought that kit (and it’s competitor kit) before when I was being lazy with my chili. It’s convenient, but chili is much better when you use fresh garlic and onions (rather than the dehydrated bits in the box). The rest of the spices you’ll likely have on your spice rack.

I would actually try this... but for an “Original Texas Brand,” I’ve never once seen it in a Texas grocery store.

Just don’t put beans in it. I don’t care if the mix tells you to. Beans are filler that occupies space that should be left for more meat.

Their website says they’re not in the HEBs hear, just Kroger and Walmart. Will personally review the local HEBs.
